Ecology of Narrative Identities Part 4
Ecology of Narrative Identities: Part 4 of the Arctic Crisis Project, is a grid wall installation of video frame stills showing slight shifts in the position of my hands that hover over the open Arctic journals written in 1981. The sound element is a recording of my extemporaneous reading of daily travel notes written thirty years earlier while working in the central Canadian arctic. As I stumble over my now unfamiliar cursive writing, the sound of my voice evokes a heaviness with the weight of bureaucracy for a land with a relatively small population.
