Sailing the Top of the World – Climate Change in the High Arctic c. 2021, by Sandra M. Hawkins, is a 30-page visual narrative on climate change impacts in the High Arctic. I was selected as one of thirty inter-discipline artists from around the world for the Arctic Circle 2019 Arts & Sciences Expedition residency. The book includes a map itinerary of the names of nineteen anchorages and their global coordinates for photo references. We sailed on a small 3-mast barquentine tall ship in the fjords of west coast Spitsbergen, Svalbard Archipelago, an international territory administered by Norway.
