The Arctic Return Project 2013 and photography series marks my return to the same Central Arctic communities located along the Northwest Passage in which I worked 1980-82. The changes I observed in 33 years included the creation of the Nunavut territory (1999), houses with plumbing, more vehicles and types, roads to hunt camps, longer open water periods for tourist cruises, and melting permafrost. The communities I visited, Kugluktuk, Cambridge Bay, Gjoa Haven, Kugaaruk and Taloyoak had joined the Nunavuut territory. Ulukhaktok (Holman Island) had remained within the new boundaries of Northwest Territories (NWT) and the Inuvialuit Regional governing agreement. Large photography prints are available for exhibition or sale.
